Well, that didn't work. A man who tried to break into a restaurant's pizza oven exhaust duct wound up stuck and screaming for help.
Oakland County Deputies say they were called Sunday morning to the Cracker Barrel Party and Pizza store in Brandon Township. According to deputies, a man was inside the vent pipe for a pizza oven and was stuck halfway between the roof and the floor.
Deputies and fire officials ont he scene had to work to free the 32-year-old man. Once he was pulled from the pipe, they learned he had pulled the vent cap off the top of the pipe and had been stuck inside for 11 hours.
He was arrested and checked out for minor injuries. Law enforcement did not release his name but said he was on parole for a 2012 conviction of breaking and entering and possession. He also has a conviction in 2005 for home invasion.
