Teen who ran off with sex offender found safe in Tennessee

A missing 15-year-old was found safe in Tennessee
A missing 15-year-old from Center Line who went missing has been found safe in Tennessee.
Toni Texas adopted her niece Shelby Grech as a baby. Now 15, Shelby took off Saturday with the boyfriend of her biological mother, a 36-year-old convicted sex offender.
Police have told Texas that this is the third time Tim Fulgenzi has been involved with a 15-year-old.
Shelby's parents say they had told her repeatedly to stay away from Fulgenzi but learned  Saturday from another relative she was not only involved with him but planning to run away with him in October when she turns 16.
They immediately called police.
"I just want her home safe," Texas said. "A lesson to any child out there - this isn't an internet thing because that's what you always hear. It doesn't matter if it's the Internet, your next door neighbor, or your best friend's brother. You have to be aware."
What Texas didn't know, is that as her family was calling the police, Shelby was already at the Knight's Inn where Tim had been staying. The two of them took off before police could get there.
Fulgenzi doesn't own a car,  but the clerk at the Knight's Inn in Farmington Hills said they left in a white vehicle.
Police alerted the media, the FBI got involved and tips started coming in. By Monday afternoon  the two were located in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Shelby is okay, Fulgenzi is under arrest  and now facing a whole host of charges.
