Man killed at party in Detroit during argument over woman

- A man was killed at a party in Detroit in an argument over a woman, his family tells FOX 2.

Antonio Brown, 28, went to a birthday party at his sister's house on Detroit's east side Sunday night. That's when his family says a fight broke out, and someone pulled out a gun in the street and fired more than a dozen shots at Brown. His own sister tried to save him by giving CPR, but his injuries were just too severe.

"There was over 18 shots fired, so they wanted him. They wanted him dead. I'm begging them, please just turn yourself in because you're going to get caught," says Brown's aunt, Lanae Love. "This was unnecessary. This is unnecessary for black men to be out here killing each other over women."

The shooting happened on Somerset Avenue, which is in a neighborhood near the intersection of Moross Road and Interstate-94. Sources tell us Brown did not have a gun, but nearly two dozen markers could be seen on the street.

"He supported all of us, I mean all of us. Literally. Like, if we couldn't do it he was there to do it. He didn't deserve this at all," says Love. Brown's family says he worked several jobs and was a father to a 1-year-old boy and had a second child on the way.  Just hours before his murder, Brown even gave his aunt his last $15 so she could pay her bills.

"If I would've knew that would be our last words, I just don't know what I would have done. I would have hugged him and kissed him and told him I love him so much," says Brown's girlfriend, Naquisha Treadwell. "I am numb right now. I'm crushed. I don't know how to feel right now. I cant do anything but cry. "Sorries", hugs, nothing is going to bring my boyfriend back. Period."

She last spoke to Brown right around midnight. A couple hours later she learned he had been shot to death.

Police do not have anyone in custody at this time, but say the suspect may have drove away in a black Pontiac G6.
