BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Police are stepping up patrols around West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. looking for a man spotted lurking in the area getting too close to the kids.

"It's very concerning," said parent Barbara Sombro. "I'm glad to see the school is very proactive. There was police presence out here this morning, it made me feel a little bit more comfortable. But it is concerning. We want our kids to be safe."
The school notified parents by sending a letter to let them know what happened and to be on the lookout.
"It was basically a description of the gentleman they saw him in, that they were taking necessary actions to make sure our kids were safe," said Sombro.
