5th annual Tamponpalooza donation drive Jan. 20

(FOX 2) - Feminine hygiene products are a basic necessity, but for many women they are becoming an expensive luxury. 

A special event this weekend is aimed at helping so many women in need. The fifth annual Tamponpalooza donation drive is happening Sunday, Jan. 20. 

The event is at The Baltimore Gallery from 7-10 p.m. It will be a fun-filled evening with live music, comedy, poetry and much more. The event's host, Ken Brass, joined us in studio to tell us more. You can hear from him in the video player above. 

Entry to this event is free with a donation of any feminine hygiene or hair care product. Admission is $5 otherwise. All donations are distributed to homeless shelters, schools or simply anyone in need.
