No matter how much they pay you, you can always use more.
And Wednesday night you have a chance to strike it rich - the Powerball jackpot has climbed to a cool $300 million.
So what would you do with all that cash? Some metro Detroiters share their hopes and dreams.
Robert Long, Jr. was one of many buying his tickets at Treasure Island at 10 Mile and Telegraph. There have been lucky winners here before including someone who won a million dollars last year.
FOX 2: "If you won what would you do with that money?"
"Trust me, laugh," he said. "I thought about that. You have to help the underprivileged first. The homeless, disabled people whatever. And then the church and then you can go down to your family."
FOX 2: "If you won, would you take it in lump sum or throughout 30 years?"
"I would have to contemplate that," Long said. "I'm not sure because we don't have 30 years, you never know. My wife and I would have to talk about it."
The odds are one in 292 million for the jackpot.
Long said one of his relatives won big several years ago and helped out the family.
It's a great story tell and he' hopes to be the family's next winner.
For Tammy McCarty, it's pretty simple.
"I'm hoping I win the power ball so I don't have to go to work tomorrow and I'll promise to share," she said. "Maybe I'll go to work because I work with some great people, but that's the goal."
