(WJBK) - Filmmaker and Flint native Michael Moore is just one of many calling for criminal action against Gov. Snyder in connection with the Flint water crisis.
Moore started a petition on his website calling for the immediate resignation and arrest of the governor on charges of what he calls corruption and assault. Moore says the governor felt that cutting costs was more important than the health of the people and that he has to go to jail.
Michael Moore is the latest celebrity to speak out on the water crisis in Flint. Earlier this week, Cher tweeted about the matter using the hashtag #JailForRick.

Governor Rick Snyder is expected to meet with the mayor of Flint Thursday to discuss the city's drinking water crisis. This comes just days after Snyder declared a state of emergency to make state resources availble for recovery and repair efforts.
The crisis surfaced last year when high lead levels were discovered in children. The dangerous metal leached into the water from old pipes after Flint switched from the Detroit Water System to the Rlint River. The city returned to Detroit system back in October.
