Surprised robber runs when clerk grabs gun

- The Port Huron Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery. It happened Tuesday around 10 p.m. at the Marathon gas station at Union and Military streets.

Police say the suspect came into the gas station and pulled out a long rifle and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect demanded money, police say, but then the clerk grabbed the gun and fought over it with the suspect.

The suspect managed to get the gun back and ran away.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his 30s, with a light-colored beard. He was wearing a black coat, black pants and a fur bomber style hat.
