Woman blindfolded, raped near Puritan shares her story

Blindfolded and at gunpoint, she was forced into an alley.

- A rape victim attacked on the west side city is talking about her terrifying ordeal.

At 18, this young women should be thinking about her plans to be a doctor. Instead a recent sexual assault is all she can think about.

"I was just walking and he just came up behind me," she said. "He told me just 'walk normal' or he would kill me."

Blindfolded and at gunpoint, she was forced into an alley at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

"As we walked into the dark alley he told me to turn around and take all my clothes off," she said.

In that alley she says he raped her, stole her belongings, and left her.

"He told me to count to 500," she said. "I counted to 500 and that's when he walked away."

After the attack she ran for help, coming to a gas station at McNichols and Wyoming begging for help. People at the gas station were able to reach her dad.

"That's where we found her," said her father. “There were a lot of people out there around her. They were like angels."

Her family is thankful she's alive but knows this is something she'll have to live with forever.  Images she'll never forget.

"He was light-skinned, he was about my height, 5'5," she said. "He was muscular, he had a black coat on, a fur lining on his hood. He had a black hat on and black boots on."

She and her father are hoping others won't endure the same fate.

"You got to rape somebody?" her father said. "He's desperate. He has to be taken off the street."
