DETROIT (WJBK) - The Detroit Police Department says a 77-year-old man hit the jackpot, only to have it yanked out of his hands before he could get to the car.
Detroit Police say the 77-year-old man won the jackpot last Thursday. He was walking out of a "local establishment" around 9:30 that night when the suspect walked up to him, grabbed the envelope, and ran.
Police say the suspect is a black man, in his 30s, with medium complexion and medium build.
Detroit Police did not say how much money the man had won or what 'local establishment' he was in when he won.
However, they did say that the crime happened in the 2900 block of Grand River Ave, which is the same block that MotorCity Casino is on.
The above picture of the suspect was released to the media. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Moore at 313-596-1340.
