Chocolatier Alexandra Clark is on the cover of Zingerman's Valentine's Day catalogue.
It is significant for Clark, the founder of Bon Bon Bon, because it is the only way you can mail order her gourmet artisan chocolate, made with love in Hamtramck.
FOX 2: "Once upon a time a chocolatier told you "expensive box, cheap chocolate" and you thought to yourself it's supposed to be the other way around."
"Anyone who loves good chocolate will tell you it’s about the chocolate," Clark said. "It's not about the packaging, it could come in a plastic bag and we would love it anyway."
Of course you can always visit Bon Bon Bon in person at Fort and Griswold in downtown Detroit.
It is stocked with flavors from sticky bun to strawberry vinaigrette to bumpy cake to cherry luxe.
"I love dealing with people when they are being indulgent and they're buying sweets," Clark said. "And so it all went from there.
Alex, 27, who has also been featured in Forbes, brought her chocolates to Fox 2 and there was no short of takers
"We don't ship chocolate," she said. "The only way you can get our chocolate delivered to you is if you order it through Zingerman's."
Good to see one Michigan business, Zingerman's of Ann Arbor, helping another with Bon Bon Bon.
