CMA students turned away after suspensions reduced

Detroit students who hit the streets in support of their teachers thought they won the battle when their five day suspensions were reduced to one day. However, many who attempted to return to school today were turned away.

Students at the Communication and Media Arts High School in Detroit learned through a robo-call the school will be holding a meeting for parents tonight on the matter. The meeting will take place at the school at 7pm.

The students walked out of classes Monday, protesting poor conditions inside their schools and showing support for their teachers.
