A double shooting in broad daylight killed one person and critically injured another on Detroit's west side.
Two people were in their car when someone opened fire shot multiple times Thursday afternoon on Seward near the Lodge freeway. The driver, despite being critically hurt, managed to take them both to the nearest hospital.
The driver is in critical condition, but his passenger later died. Investigators say just before noon, gunfire erupted.
"It was 30 shots," said one witness. "Thirty of them, broad daylight."
Detroit police at the scene could not give an exact count on the number of shots fired.
Police say they don't have an official motive behind the shooting and no description of a suspect or suspects.
Neighbors who live in this community are now on edge knowing that a shooting happened in broad daylight.
With all of the shots fired, one resident says one of those bullets could have hit him.
"That could have been anyone, bullets don't have names on them," said one neighbor.
