DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit police tell FOX 2 they are investigating after a body was found inside a vehicle on Detroit's west side. Detroit police initially thought two bodies were found inside the vehicle but now tell FOX 2 that only one body was inside.
The vehicle was found burning on an abandoned block on the city's west side at Kendall and Westbrook streets, which is near Outer Drive and Schoolcraft Avenue. Detroit firefighters went to the scene and put out the fire.
DPD says the person inside the vehicle appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
