FOX 2 is told, the man responsible was involved in a domestic dispute earlier that Valentine's Day, returning to the house at 9:30 p.m.

Battle tells us her grandmother is in the hospital and still alive, after the bullet struck near the base of her neck.

"She's the sweetest person alive, she helps everyone in the neighborhood," said Janelle Battle, the woman's granddaughter.  "I'm terrified because we've been living in this house since I was 5. I'm terrified.

"I hope if anyone knows anything, can you please come forward because she's a senior citizen who lives by herself and no one deserves this."

Detroit police are following new leads to track down the drive by shooter and are not releasing a description at this time.
