5-year-old shot in west Detroit

- A 5-year-old girl remains in critical condition after she was shot in the head Saturday on Mark Twain Street in west Detroit.

Details surrounding the shooting are still being sorted out by police, but investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a nearby accident involving two vehicles. Shortly after the accident., police said the suspect went into his home, came out with a weapon and fired shots at the victim's vehicle. The 5-year-old was struck in the head.

Neighbors said the violence on the street is out of control and some say they have to make a change. Capricia Parker said she's looking forward to moving out of the neighborhood.
