Hoverboard stolen on Detroit's west side

A hoverboard was stolen Sunday evening from two young brothers.

A group of men stole a hoverboard Sunday evening from two young brothers on Detroit's west side.
A 16-year-old and his 10-year-old brother were attacked by three men at about 6:30 p.m. at the Citgo gas station on Schaefer Highway and McNichols Road. The brothers were there buying candy for themselves and their other six siblings. The older brother was showing off his new hoverboard he'd received for Christmas.
When the group of men entered the store, it appeared as if they were friends with the brothers. Shortly after, they attacked the pair and stole the hoverboard. Fortunately, the crime was caught on camera.
Nakita Henderson, mother of the victims, asked what the motive could have been.
"Why are you making senseless crimes?" she said. "It appears that you guys have money because of the way that you were dressed and the car that you were driving. Why would you do that to these kids?"
