State Rep. Brian Banks faced eviction seven times in recent years

A week ago, Problem Solver M.L. Elrick exposed what State Representative Brian Banks was up to while being sued for sexual harassment. He held a lavish party for his 39th birthday at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History.

Not long after that story aired, Elrick started getting phone calls about what else Banks was up to: they said he deleted his Facebook photos that he posted of his fun in the sun in Florida. But the big one was that he was facing eviction from his Harper Woods home. The lawsuit was dismissed but - the evictions? Well that's the newest twist.

Banks has faced eviction seven times in recent years. In the most recent case, filed last month in Harper Woods, he was sued for $2,375 owed in back rent on a home he rents on Newcastle.

The lease says the tenants are Joyce and Justin Banks. That case was dismissed last Friday. Banks' landlord says he finally paid the rent.

On February 17th, a different landlord sued banks for $3,145 in back rent on this house just down the street where Banks lives. The landlord claims the rent was paid through October: that's more than two months before Banks embarked on his luxurious tour of Florida hot spots.

So M.L. went looking for him. He didn't want to talk about the lawsuits and even hid in the kitchen at Sinbad's before M.L. sent him a text asking him to come out and talk. Banks agreed to meet M.L. the next day.

Watch what happened when the two finally were face to face, in the video above.
