Armada district shutting down schools after gas leak
ARMADA, Mich. (WJBK) - Armada officials shutting down the school district for the day on Thursday due to a gas leak.
City township fire and police responded to a call of a gas leak along with the school maintenance team.
There were only a small amount of students who were dropped off early at the school this morning.
Officials determined there was a gas leak outside of Krause Elementary -- specifically, a valve leaking.
The school district was shut down for the day as a precaution because all the schools are located near one another.
There are no reports of injuries and crews are on the scene making repairs.
