In a few months 6-month-old Liliana will be spending her days somewhere else.

Her daycare Childtime Center at Northwood announced Thursday its closing its doors. The childcare facility serves more than 100 kids of Beaumont Hospital employees.

"I just heard this morning when I went to go drop her off," said mom Courtney Greulich.

Beaumont released a letter to parents saying the daycare, located at Woodward and 13 Mile would close Feb. 3.

The reasons behind it - Beaumont is demolishing the hospital-owned strip mall the daycare is located in. Plans to build a new place across the street have been scrapped.

Beaumont says the daycare's parent company Childtime changed their business model, making child care at the center more expensive and unaffordable for many families.

Sarah Arnold has two little boys at the day care.

"I'm devastated," she said. "I've been taking them there since they were born. It's like a family, it's sad."

"I think all the parents have to pull together and figure out a safe environment to put them in."
