Body found partially submerged in Frenchtown Twp. drainage ditch identified
FRENCHTOWN TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - The body of a man discovered in a ditch Friday in Frenchtown Township has been identified.
Monroe resident Steven Michael Doty, 27, was found around 5 p.m. Sunday in a drainage ditch north of the Monroe Public Schools Administration building.
His body was found partially submerged in a ditch located near a path residents of the Macomb Street area often take to reach businesses on the corner of N. Monroe Street and Cole Road.
Doty was taken to the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police do not expect foul play.
