Police in Taylor say they believe the body of a 38-year-old who had been missing since May 7 was found in Ypsilanti and they have arrested two people in connection to his death.

Micheal Lee Stratford, 38, had been missing since May 7. On Saturday, police say a man turned himself in and said that Stratford had been shot and then left in an Ypsilanti field.

Stratford went for a ride on his motorcycle that day but never returned him home. His motorcycle was last spotted at a home on Brian Street in Taylor and, on Saturday, a 41-year-old Taylor man turned himself in and said he ad been shot inside that home. He also told police where his body was left.

Taylor Police worked with Washtenaw County Sheriff's and recovered a body in an Ypsilanti field that they believe to be Stafford's. They're waiting on positive identification to confirm that detail.
