Boy, 1 1/2, found wandering in Detroit street, picked up by grandfather

WEB UPDATE (4:38 p.m.): The toddler's grandfather picked the boy up from the precinct. Police are investigating the circumstances.

The mother of the boy lives in a home for troubled women.

The Detroit Police Department were working to find the parents of the boy who was found wandering on a west side Detroit street.

Police said the boy was found Monday afternoon and are asking for the parents to call them immediately.

The boy was at the 6th Precinct at Plymouth and Warwick.

Police were asking the parents to come forward and pick up their child.
