Boy, 9, found safe after disappearing while taking out garbage
DETROIT (WJBK) - A 9-year-old boy who disappeared Friday morning while taking out the garbage has been found safe, Detroit police say.
Detroit police were asking for the public's help in locating him.
Police say Robert Wood took out the trash the morning of August 4, 2017 around 8:45 a.m. at his home in the 20500 block of Heyden Street, which is near 8 Mile and Evergreen roads. He never returned back inside the house.
He was found just after 1 p.m.
Police didn't elaborate on the circumstances around his disappearance.
