Shooting victim Sean Key, left, died after being gunned down at the Play Atlantis family fun center in Melvindale.

A long-running family feud ends with one man murdered in Melvindale, the victim was shot in the head.

The suspect, Lamar Carter, is still at large. Police know who they are looking for because the shooting was caught on surveillance cameras. The media has not seen the video, but the victim's brother did and he believes it may have been an accident.

"I got a phone call show up to see my brother laying in the back of a kid party," said Erik Key. "It's not right."

Erik Key thought it would come down to this - his 44-year-old brother Sean Key shot and killed in the middle of his girlfriend's granddaughter's birthday party at the Play Atlantis family fun center on Allen Road Saturday night.

Police say Sean was murdered because of a long running family feud, but his brother claims it's connected to Sean's girlfriend's family.

"I know the whole deal both family things," Erik Key said. "It's senseless. We're black people, let's come together on something. Just give yourself up."

Erik Key says it all started with an argument among some women at the party. Right now investigators are looking for Lamar Carter, they believe he left the play center and came back with a gun, shooting Key in the head.

Erik saw the video and does not believe the 23-year-old suspect intended to kill.

"It was like he was punking, he was just punking with the gun," Erik Key said. "He shot it and my brother got hit. He wasn't aiming. Let's just do this right. Go and be a man. Man up."

Erik Key called his baby brother his "ace,"  a hard working family man who leaves three children behind. He is urging the suspect to do the right thing and turn himself in.

"If you know him, give him up," Erik Key said. "Save his life. It is just another black man being killed."

Some witnesses have come forward and Erik says he has also provided information to police.  He believes it is just a matter of time before Lamar Carter is caught.
