Brothers killed, bodies burnt in vacant home on city's west side

DETROIT (WJBK) - Police are still searching for answers two months after a pair of brothers were shot and killed on Detroit's west side with their bodies left to burn in a vacant home.

"What happened to my sons was the worst thing a mother could endure," said Lynette White.

Two brothers, Isaac and Shyheim White, were shot and killed in September of this year, and the house they were shot in was set on fire.

"The truth is they went down there to that housoe to just get a dime bag of weed and they got a bad play," Isaac White, Sr. said.

He says the brothers went in to argue about the deal and were both shot. But this mother and father make it clear despite what their sons were involved in, they did not deserve to be killed.

"My sons were good guys. They were good fathers. They were good brothers, good sons. This should've never, ever happened to them," Lynette said.

And after this crime, the family says Isaac's two kids and Shyheim's child will have to grow up fatherless, which only adds to the pain.

"He never put anything or anybody before his kids," said LaToya Spears, the mother of Issac White's children.

As this family tries to mover forward after losing two sons they are pleading for those who have information to come forward.

"It won't take the pain away, but it will ease some, just knowing that they're off the street and not out there planning to do this to another victim," Lynette said.
