Car crashes into Detroit gas station

You can't fuel up at a Sunoco gas station, following an accident Thursday morning on Detroit's west side.

It happened at 1:30 a.m. on the 24000 block of West McNichols road.

Investigators tell Fox 2 a driver was heading down West McNichols when he lost control of his car.

He was trying to avoid hitting a car coming in the opposite direction, lost control of the car and crashed into several gas pumps.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. He is expected to recover.

The driver will be arrested for driving with a suspended license.

The pumps at the Sunoco gas station are shut down, but the mini-mart is open for business.
