Carjackers in Freddy Kruger and witch masks steal Camaro

Two masked bandits carjack a man in his Camaro - one wore a Freddy Krueger mask, the other of a witch.

The victim was nearing his destination at Seven Mile and Sunderland on Detroit's west side.

"Two guys wearing ski masks approached me and hit me in the head with a sawed-off shotgun," the victim said. "They made me get out of the car and took everything I had and drove off down the street."

Police say the suspects got away in the victim's 2011 grey Camaro, but investigators found it a short distance from the crime scene.

"They located the car but everything else is gone," the victim said.

"We're pulling evidence out of vehicle and confident we'll find out who is responsible for this and we'll locate them." said Sgt. Cassandra Lewis.

Police say fortunately no one was seriously hurt in the incident and advise anyone in that situation to cooperate.

"Remember this is all property," Lewis said. "Property can be replaced, lives can't."
