(WJBK) - Problems with concrete falling on the Windsor side of the Ambassador Bridge have Canadian officials concerned about safety. Some of the chunks of concrete have measured up to 22 inches.
They have closed some streets near the bridge after a inspection of the bridge's underside revealed some damage.
This news comes just ahead of this weekend's Detroit Free Press Talmer Bank Marathon. Part of the race goes over the international span and through Windsor. Right now, though, the marathon does not look to be affected by the issue.
Windsor officials plan to meet with bridge representatives to determine what needs to be done before streets will reopen.
No injuries have been reported.
