Community organizes to find 21-year-old pregnant woman's killer

Detroit police are still searching for a the person who shot and killed a 21-year-old pregnant woman.

People got together with police officers Saturday to rally and raise awareness about the young woman's murder.

Bionka Lyons had just gotten home from work on Wednesday night when she was murdered outside her home on the city's west side.

Lyons was seven months pregnant. Her unborn baby also died.

Organizers of Saturday's rally believe bringing attention to the tragedy will help police with the case.

"When it strikes close to home, it becomes more personal," said rally organizer Cliff Woodards. "People are now beginning to step up. They're beginning to call Crime Stoppers. We are now seeing that change in how Detroit operates. We all now want to have a better community."
