Coney island offers free Thanksgiving meals to those in need

On Thanksgiving a Northville restaurant is offering free meals to people who can't be with family this holiday.

George's Senate Coney Island has fed the lonely for the last 10 years. This year his generosity went viral, thanks to a post on Reddit.

He normally gets 75 to 100 diners for Thanksgiving but this year he's expecting up to 500.

The owner, George Dimopoulos, said he remembers tough times growing up in Greece when there wasn't always enough to go around.

The Senate, located off Haggerty between Five Mile and Six Mile, will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. with dinner starting at 2 p.m.
