2 construction workers hit in 3-vehicle accident on I-75 near Allen

Two construction workers were injured in a three-vehicle accident on I-75 Downriver.

The construction workers were hit on northbound I-75 near Allen Road at about 3:45 Wednesday. One person is in critical condition and one has non-life threatening injuries according to Michigan State Police.

Traffic is moving through the area in the right lane only, in images from SkyFOX. The three vehicles appear to be all large pickup trucks, with the third truck attached to a small trailer.

Construction projects are currently underway with North Line/Allen & Eureka ramps to SB I-75 closed; with drivers advised to use the US24/Telegraph Connector as well as NB/SB Allen under I-75, which has a single lane closure, through Oct. 2018
