(WJBK) - It's been three months since Joe Carson landed in the Hall of Shame after trying to tarnish the good name of Bloomfield Construction. Now the law has finally caught up with him.
Joe denied any wrongdoing when he was asked by Rob Wolchek about being an unlicensed contractor who was using an established contractor's name to get business.
"I can name my company anything I want," he said.
He can't, but we've already established that.
Joe, the same guy who made fun of Rob's suit, is now being fitted for a suit of his own in the Oakland County Jail - a jump suit!
When the real owner of Bloomfield Construction couldn't get him to stop using his name, he sued Joe and a judge ordered him to stop. But he didn't - we even caught him on video wearing a Bloomfield Construciton shirt.
Joe has a long criminal history (which you can read here). Now he's busy adding some current charges to that now after being arrested by the Troy Special Investigative Unit, a task force from Troy, Birmingham, Royal Oak, Auburn Hills, and Bloomfield Township Police.
What did he do? He was arrested for getting a large insurance check in his construction business, cashing the check at Flagstar Bank and then never doing the job. He's charged with larceny by conversion over $20,000. Carson also has a similar larceny case in Wayne County.
His bond has been set for $50,000 cash or surety and is due back in court next month.
