- Two Detroit girls who went missing after taking out the trash have been safe, according to officials.

Police say Envi McClin, 12, and Montashia Brown, 9, were found safe in Flint.

Detroit police had previously said that they were with their maternal grandmother, 53-year-old Wendy Harris, who had gone missing as well. It is not yet known if the children were with their grandmother.

The children had been last seen taking out the trash in the 4300 block of Chrysler and had not returned.
