Detroit pharmacy damaged after pickup rams building

Detroit police are investigating after a vehicle was rammed into a pharmacy on the city's west side Friday morning.

The alarm went off around 3:30 a.m. at Victoria Pharmacy on Livernois Avenue, just a few blocks south of Eight Mile Road. The pharmacy's owner came to the scene and discovered a huge hole in the front wall of the building.

Police believe a red truck did the damage, but aren't sure of the truck's make or model at this time. The truck was last seen going westbound on Seven Mile Road and had lots of front-end damage.

Police are still investigating all that was taken, but believe the medication inside was the target.

This is the third time in recent years someone has broken into the pharmacy. This latest incident, obviously, left behind the most damage.
