Detroit Police Athletic League hosts football championship games for kids

- Although the Lions were on the road at Minnesota, Ford Field was the site for a championship football game.

The Detroit Police Athletic League hosted the 2016 Football Championship Games on Sunday -- it's largest and longest-running sports program.

Detroit PAL coaches work with kids five days a week to help build character through teamwork and athletics for a chance to make it to the Ford Field championship games.

FOX 2's Ryan Ermanni captured the fun.
