Detroit police, MDOC looking for escaped suspect in I-94, Grand River area

Detroit police are looking for an escaped suspect in the area of Grand River and I-94.
Rowvantae Tarrell Walker was being detained on a carjacking charge. He escaped from Michigan Department of Corrections officers at the Lawton Parole Office Wednesday afternoon.
He was in handcuffs and he walked away from the building.
“Our first priority is to find and return this parolee to custody,” said Michigan Department of Corrections Director Heidi Washington. “We are asking for help from the public to contact the police or to call 911 if you have information that would assist in the investigation.”
