Detroit police officer injured in shooting on Detroit's west side

Detroit police say one of its officers was shot and injured while carrying out a drug raid on a home on Detroit's west side.

Police say the incident occurred in the 8500 block of Orangelawn around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police say when the officer, a 17-year veteran of the force went to enter the home, he was met by gunfire. Fox 2 is told the officer is a narcotics officer and was privately conveyed to the hospital. The officer is said to be is stable condition. 

Police say the suspected shooter and 2 others are in custody. Police are looking for a fourth suspect at this time but do not have a good description to release.
