Techno is taking over Memorial Day Weekend with the Movement Music Festival at Hart Plaza.

Although it’s about techno and electronic, the festival is also filled with hip hop because it’s a celebration of Detroit’s music legacy and heritage.

“Different cultures, different backgrounds, they all come together to listen to music, dancing it doesn't matter what rhythm you have, if you don’t have rhythm you just dance to the music and have fun,” event goer Stephanie Britton said.

People come from all over the world, like the UK, Berlin, and South America to visit the birthplace of techno.

The festival runs through Monday the 28th, with a big performance from Wu Tang who will be celebrating their 25th anniversary.
