The passenger, a 21-year-old from Detroit was also hit, taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.  A third person, a woman from Traverse City was in the back but police tell us was not hit.
Despite being shot the driver, witnesses tell Fox 2 he attempted to get away but crashed into a white Pontiac Bonneville.
The driver of the Bonneville is also being questioned by police and was close to becoming a 3rd victim.
Police say because of the location of the shooting tracking down the shooter and the tan colored Camry they were said to be driving will be a difficult task.
Police say there were at least three to 4 people in the suspect's car. At this time, police say they are interviewing the 3rd uninjured person hoping to learn more about who the killer may be and what exactly led to the shooting.
