Driver hospitalized after semi-truck crashes into van in Warren

WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) - A van driver was rushed to the hospital after a rollover crash stopped traffic at a busy Warren intersection.

A truck driver walked around after having been in an accident at 8 Mile and Dequindre on Detroit's east side on Thursday afternoon.

"The truck clipped the van on the back left corner and it just started flipping," a gas station clerk said.

An employee with the company that owns the van says the driver in the van stopped because someone ran a red light and a cop was chasing him. 

Witnesses say the driver of the semi just couldn't stop in time and hit the van, causing it to roll.

No one was seriously hurt. The entire accident is under investigation.
