DriveShare is like Air BnB but for classic cars

(WJBK) - Have you ever dreamed of being behind the wheel of your favorite classic car? 

Drive Share By Hagerty is like the Air BnB of classic cars, says Steve Haas.

Hagerty is the world's largest membership insurance and media organization for collectable cars. With their acquisition of Drive Share, they're making it possible for you to rent a classic car.

"It allows people who have classic cars to rent them to people who are enthusiastic about classic cars but may not have one," Haas said.

As the owner of a classic car, you can go onto driveshare.com and post your car -- complete with description and some pictures. You can rent it out to be driven or to just be a prop at event like a photo shoot. You can also offer it as a chauffer for things like weddings.

Haas says the demand is huge.

"We don't have enough here in the area. We have about 1,000 cars listed nationwide and we're renting them every day," he said.
