Duggan tours auto show as ramp up begins

Cobo center is filling up with all of the shiny new cars and trucks for the North American International Auto Show.

On Thursday Mayor Mike Duggan walked the floor and got an early preview.

Thousands of journalists from at least sixty countries will be in Detroit next week to preview all of the vehicles.

The mayor was impressed  and has his eye on one car in particular.

"I want to drive the Bolt," he said. "I am looking forward to that - 200 miles at a time. That's pretty exciting. I don't know if I could work out a deal with GM to have a whole fleet of Chevy Bolts.

Duggan was referring to the brand new Chevy Bolt which can go 200 miles on a single charge.

The show opens to the public on Jan. 16. For information on tickets or about the show in general can get more information online HERE.
