39-year-old Desanee Young of Sterling Heights was found stabbed to death in Detroit in June 2014.

A family is finally at peace, knowing that the man who killed 39-year-old Desanee Young will finally pay for his crime.

The mother of four from Sterling Heights was found murdered inside her red Dodge Durango on Detroit's west side in June of 2014. Her throat was slit, and she was stabbed and cut multiple times.

Ebony Thomason - the victim's sister - says she knew from day one it was Fred Young who took his wife's life.

"We had a conversation, and I said he was going to kill her and she was thinking the same thing. We laughed because we really didn't think he would do it, and three weeks later he killed her," said Thomason.

Last week Fred Young was convicted of his wife’s murder.

Testimony revealed the couples extramarital affairs.

Desanee wanted out, and her husband wanted to get his hands on her half a million dollar life insurance policy.

It took the jury less than an hour to come back with the guilty verdict.

"He kept a straight face the whole trial. No remorse, no emotions," said Thomason. "An innocent person is going to show some type of emotions. He didn't show any."

Neither did his son, who was also found guilty in two separate murder cases last year.

Fredrick Young, Jr. was part of a crew convicted in a 2012 crime spree that led to the execution of the Westland teens Jacob Kudla and Jordan Bobbish, and veteran John Villneff, who was shot to death on Detroit's east side.

"He had just said he didn't raise his son that way and it was just unbelievable to him," said Thomason. "He turned around two years later, and he murdered my sister."

Desanee is gone, but her sister says she will never be forgotten.

Ebony plans to let the judge know just how much Desanee meant to the family when she speaks at Fred Young's sentencing in a couple of weeks.

"Our family has just been destroyed. He took a great person away from us and she will always be loved and remembered as one of the greatest people ever alive.”
