But on Wednesday, Kodi the Husky is back where he belongs.

Chris and Marilee Barnett of Bloomfield Township were reunited with their beloved 10-month-old Siberian Husky after receiving a call from police just after midnight Wednesday.

The Barnetts  reporting Kodi stolen from outside a Kroger on Telegraph Monday evening. Chris Barnett says he tied the popular pup outside for about 15 minutes, but walked out learning Kodi had been taken, according to witnesses by a younger man in a Jeep.

Bloomfield Township police say Tuesday an anonymous tip came in that Kodi, stripped of his embroidered collar and tags, was inside an Independence Township home. The man, arrested.

Now, able to spend their Christmas with Kodi, the Barnetts say they're grateful for all of the puppy love -- they've received.

Although the person who allegedly stole Kodi is in custody, he has not been charged yet with police figuring out what to charge him with.
