Fatal shooting on I-94 kills 2

The Michigan State Police say 2 people are dead following a shooting on I-94 Sunday morning.

Police say at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday they responded to a report of a vehicle on the median shoulder in the area of eastbound I-94 and Livernois.  

Once on-scene, police determined that both occupants were deceased, having been killed by gunfire. MSP and Detroit police secured the scene and closed the freeway which remain closed for many hours Sunday morning. 

Police at this time it has been determined that multiple shots were fired over a stretch of I-94, leading to where the victim vehicle came to rest near Livernois.  

The victims have been identified by the Wayne County Medical Examiner's office as 27-year old Domonique Brown and 27-year old Ramell Campbell. Their cause of death is still under investigation.
