Michigan ramps up efforts to get bottled water and filters to Flint families. However, victims of the toxic water say the state's response is too little, too late.

People in Flint are fighting their way through the disaster as relief efforts expand. Now, more cases of water and filters are being passed out to families. But that's not all. They're also getting test kits for every home. The goal is get people to use them and return their results to City Hall for processing.

The problem, however, is that there's still not enough water.

"They're only giving you one case of water and you have to cook with it. I just learned I'm still poisoning my kids because i'm cooking witht he water from the tap," Lloyd Mays said.

Gilbert Person said the entire city should be off limits.

"They should put yellow tape around the whole city of Flint because this is not a catastrophic thing, this is a manmade situation," Person said.

Meanwhile more volunteers and donations of water pour into Flint, including a special shipment from the water drive on Saturday, put on by FOX 2, iHeart Media and Kroger. Because of your generosity, we were able to send five full semis with 240 tons of bottled water for Flint. Absopure matched our donations with five more full truck loads.

For the American Red Cross, the donation is a huge help.

"It's very helpful, this is a crisis. no one can drink water," John Hendricks said Red Cross volunteers are visiting homes looking for anyone who needs help."Our quota - they expect us to do - is 1,000 homes a day. With ten vehicles, that's 100 homes a day per vehicle. Yesterday we did 1,753.

After 18 months of dealing with this crisis alone, the people of Flint say thank you for the help, water, and kindness.

"I would just love say thank you to everybody for all of your help. it really means more to us than you could ever know. I have six grandbabies and i worry daily about their health," Avis Vizzle said.

If you want to help, you still can. The Salvation Army has set up a way for you to text WATER to 91999. You'll get a link that will allow you to donate how much you wish to give.
