Although no one was hurt as bullets flew into a home on Detroit's east side Sunday, one woman believes her house was targeted for volunteering on Angels' Night.

Keena Harris says around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, she and her family were sleeping when they heard their home on Maiden Street under attack.

Bullet holes were found in the walls, the windows, and even a mirror. Somehow, no one was hurt.

"The noise, the chaos, and the sound," she said.

Keena needed water because there was a bottle on fire. She says the steel door stopped the fire from spreading.

Now this grandmother is trying to figure out who would want to hurt her and her family. A longtime volunteer for Angels Night, she wonders if this could be some kind of retaliation.

"The only thing I did was work for Angels’ Night trying to stop the violence around here, passing out T-shirts, lights, to the whole community," she said.

Leftover birthday cake sits on the kitchen table, as the day the house was shot up also happened to be her grandson Jo Jo's 3rd birthday.

Keena says he, along with the rest of the family, is traumatized.

"I'm a mom, grandma ... I wouldn't bring that to your family," she said.
