Hamtramck police on lookout after two attempted abductions

- Hamtramck police are on the lookout for a man who they say tried abducting students in two separate incidents this week.

The first happened around 5 pm. Thursday near Commor Avenue and the I-75 Service Drive. Police say a man in a car stopped two students after they got off the school bus. Police say he opened the passenger door and tried getting the students to come inside.

The second attempted abduction happened the next day around 8:30 a.m. when police say a man with the same description followed a student and tried grabbing her. She was able to get away and ran to Hamtramck High School. This one happened at Casmere and Fleming streets, which is just a few blocks away from the first incident.

Police say he's driving a black, newer-modeled Chevy Camaro with a white racing stripe down the middle. He's described as a light-skinned black man in his 30s with a medium build and a beard.
