HazMat investigating after chemical fire at Livonia electronics store

A HazMat crew is evaluating a building after a chemical fire Tuesday morning in Livonia.

Crews were called out to an electronics store at Farmington Road and Schoolcraft just after 7 a.m. No injuries have been reported.

The fire happened at Hughes Electronics, in the 34000 block of Industrial Road.

Fire Marshal Keith Bowe didn't say what caused the fire, and authorities aren't sure of the nature of the hazardous materials yet. They're waiting for the HazMat team to finish evaluating the building.

FOX 2's Charling Langton was there earlier and a huge plume of gray smoke could be seen coming from the building.
